A Story To Our Journey

A Historic Beginning: Yulia Serebryannik, Her Sisters, and Geldy Kyarizov Pave the Way for Human Rights

United in the Fight for Human Rights: Yulia Serebryannik, Her Sisters, and Geldy Kyarizov's Courageous Stand
In 2002, Geldy Kyarizov was unjustly imprisoned in Turkmenistan. Yulia Serebryannik and her sisters fearlessly stood up against the dictatorship, fighting for their rights. This courageous act was revolutionary, as it had never been done before, especially by a woman. Their unwavering determination marked the beginning of a historic fight for human rights in Turkmenistan.

Defiance in the Face of Oppression

The Unyielding Fight: Continuing the Battle for Rights
Even after Geldy Kyarizov's release from jail, the family's unwavering determination to fight for their rights remained resolute. In 2006, Yulia Serebryannik fearlessly conducted a risky video interview with a French media company, shedding light on the oppressive regime. Their steadfast stance against human rights violations posed a threat to the government, leading to a severe crackdown in 2010. The authorities confiscated all of Geldy Kyarizov's horses and subjected Yulia and Geldy to threats of rape and imprisonment. Placed under 24-hour surveillance and banned from leaving the country, the family's courage persisted as they continued to report on violations from within Turkmenistan's borders. Their unwavering commitment to justice became a beacon of hope amidst adversity, inspiring others to join the fight for human rights.

A Journey of Resilience

Rebuilding Lives and Empowering Others
In a triumphant turn of events, towards the end of 2015, the family found a ray of hope as extensive diplomatic pressure facilitated their departure from Turkmenistan. However, their pursuit of justice did not come without further challenges. Even in Russia, they encountered physical violence, resulting in Diana Serebryannik sustaining stab wounds. Yet, undeterred by these adversities, the family persevered. With the support and patronage of the European Union, they obtained asylum and embarked on a mission to establish the Rights for Turkmenistan Citizens (RFTC) organization. Now, their unwavering commitment has taken center stage as they work tirelessly to assist and uplift the lives of Turkmenistan's citizens. The RFTC's efforts are dedicated to championing human rights, advocating for justice, and striving for a brighter future for all.

Transforming Lives Against All Odds

RFTC's Extraordinary Achievements in Isolated Turkmenistan
Against all odds, RFTC has achieved extraordinary milestones since its inception. In the face of extreme isolation and adversity, the organization has brought hope and tangible change to the citizens of Turkmenistan. Through innovative initiatives, RFTC has provided essential support, challenged the status quo, and fought for human rights. Its impact has been nothing short of remarkable, igniting a transformative movement that transcends borders. RFTC's unwavering determination and commitment to empowering the people of Turkmenistan have proven that even in the most challenging circumstances, true change is possible
